Publicis poaches JWT's Floriane Tripolino

Published by

Publicis Worldwide has named a new business director to manage global accounts across the APAC region. Floriane Tripolino joins Publicis from JWT, where she served as regional business director, overseeing blue chip accounts such as Kellogg's and Johnson & Johnson. She will be based out of the global network's regional HQ in Singapore, where she will be overseeing key international accounts, including Nestlé, BNP Paribas, Citi and L’Oréal. This will be a return to the Publicis fold for the French/Italian executive, who worked for the network at its flagship agency in Paris, Publicis Conseil, back in 2011.

She'll be reporting to Loris Nold, who has settled comfortably into his role as CEO of Publicis APAC and emerging markets after nine months at the helm. He said that Tripolino joining the network is fantastic news for them and he's delighted to have her back. He has “No doubt that she will bring the right level of leadership and engagement for key global clients in the region,” and believes that her “Great understanding of digital and integrated communication,” will prove invaluable as she works closely with Nold and the global Publicis teams as they “Drive strategic engagement and continue to be the preferred creative partner,” for their clients' digital transformations.

Tripolino has spent 17 years in the advertising industry working at BBDO in Moscow and Australia, and at CLM BBDO and Y&R in Paris. She relocated to Singapore from Hamburg in January 2013 when she joined JWT's regional account team. In a press release she announced that she was “Thrilled to be back at Publicis,” because not only was the network very close to her culture, but she feels that “The ambition that Publicis has in this part of the world is truly exciting.” She is “Really looking forward to working closely with the Publicis teams” and their global clients across the region.

Publicis, whose global client include AXA, Citi, Coca-Cola, Nestle and PayPal, has been making waves in the industry news of late thanks to its recent acquisition of a large stake in the Singapore-based creative agency Arcade last month. They have also been revamping their leaderships across the region, with Ogilvy & Mather's Andrew Baxter taking control in Australia, TBWA’s Lou dela Pena being handed the reigns to Singapore and a general restructure in Greater China, which led to the exit of CEO Jeffrey Yu.
